You've Got Mail
Since junk mail is so abundant in almost everyone's mailbox, some crafters have decided to make some good use out of it. Mail art is becoming popular in the art journaling and scrapbooking arena. So my post this month uses one type of mail that I repurposed as canvas to create this piece of art. Using a priority mailer that once held some items I brought, I took out my art supplies and got to work.
To prepare the mailer, I covered it with gesso and then layered old telephone book pages. I then embellished it with a prima doll stamp that I stamped, cut and colored with markers. I added flowers on the doll's hair and in the lower left corner. The "Love makes a Home" house was cut using my Silhouette and another flower was layered on top of this image. I also stamped all over the canvas and used punched-out hearts. Then a little piece of lace at the top and a hanger that was once a holder for socks was hot glued to serve as a hanger for the piece. So don't throw away that junk mail just yet. See what things you can use to create your own masterpiece.

French Manor mini
During the winter mess that occurred in South Carolina, I was able to create this mini after the power was restored. It uses the French Manor Cricut cartridge and the DCWV paper stack, Guilded Orchard. I also used my Gypsy to alter the mini tio the size I wanted. Here it is:
