Mirror, Mirror

>
While stopping in HL recently, my scrap buddie and I stopped and looked at some glass candle holders, the kind that you put under your candle to catch the wax. Well a light bulb went off in my head. I thought glass, etching and vinyl. Well the etching cream was more than I wanted to pay (it was found on the stained glass aisle) So I was down to glass and vinyl. So here's myproject:

Tall news for purses

If you think the jeweled purse is cute. Just wait until you see what Jen and I have done. It's a tall order but she as usual rose to the challenge. It's called a tall purse and it's also found on Mel Stampz blog. Take a look:

Jeweled Purse

In all the mayhem of cutting and sifting for projects, I forgot to cut this one. It is a jeweled purse from Mel Stampz blog. It is a really cute purse with endless possibilities. You create a grid using your Scor-pal and then you can add rhinestones or whatever you like to spice it up. I use stick-on rhinestones and diecut some flowers using my Sissix diecutter. I also used a bookplate for the front also a Sissix die. Didn't it turn out cute? Thanks JenC for all your expertise. Enjoy!

Sniffles, topnotes, and Notecards

What do these three things have in common? Well amid sniffles and other symptoms, Jen and I were able to whip together three more projects using DS. One is a topnote giftcard holder that Angie Juda had on her blog. The other projects are 3x3 note card purses compliments of Maria(Stampin Inpirations) and Mel Stampz. These are two great blogs with tons of inpirations and fabulous projects. Now on to the projects:

Lollipops anyone?

I recently got a template for Lauren Meader's Lollipop Box. It was recently released on the PaperTrey Ink Blog. It's really cute and has many versatile uses. Lauren recently made a cute little box that houses some candy. I decided to make the same box using her template. Here it is:I copied the template onto a sheet of green cardstock and then cut it out. For the window I stamped it using Stazon ink. I stamped the flower and then colored using colored pencils. I tied a bow and adhered it to the box. Voila! A cute idea for a gift.

Inspiration

Do you like my new background look? I downloaded that from thecutesetblogontheblock.blogspot. Some make resolutions about the coming year. I say tomorrow is not promised to noone so scrap now. On a serious note: It has been noted by many scrapbook novices that inspiration for layouts can be found almost anywhere. So here's my inspiration for this layout. See it can be done.

Purse-appeal

No every girl has to have a black dress and a black bag to match or is it a red bag? No time to wonder, here's a black one.
Thanks again Jen!:0)

Purse anyone?

Who doesn't love purses? Well with DesignStudio you can create as many purses as you want. You may not be able to put the kitchen sink in it but you sure can put some yummy treats or little favors, notecards, etc. Here's one Jen and I worked on together.

Lost in scrapping space

Can you believe that it has almost been a month since I last visited my own blog? Wow that's not good. Anyway, a lot has happened since then. I took a free on line class at Jessica Sprague.com. It was entitled "Stories in Hand" The class taught via e-mails and written instructions. It was very informative and took some deep searching into past memories to create stories that will be remember forever. All the materials were stored in a binder. I finally found one that I like at a local scrapbook store. I still have yet to complete some of the stories but I have the jest of it and it will be easy to fill in more as time goes on. I haven't been crafting much lately just a few odds and ends here and there. I visited my sister and her hubby and my neice over the weekend. We had game night . We played a couple of games and just sat and talked. I got a few pictures of my neice's formal. Take a look.

Midnight project

Look:  I just finished this box bag project using my Scor-pal.  It is sooooooo cute.  You could put candy or anything sweety in it.  Maybe some oatmeal raisin cookies.  Enjoy!

A layout

I can't leave just yet without a layout:     But what is that pineapple and orange container doing in the picture?  Did I forget to move it?  No.I used this prop for my color scheme on my LO.  Notice the same colors and arrangement.  So if sometimes you are stumped as to what colors to use on your LOs, let the professionals help you.  Those that are paid to create advertisements for sales have it already in the bag.  Let them do the guess work for you[smile] Pick up a candy wrapper, a potato chip bag, etc and leave the rest to them.

Cards are Me

Lately it seems like cards have become the order of the day for me.  My layouts have been pushed aside.  So here are some cards:  the first card has some cute little yellow jackets on it.  If they weren't on the card, I would swat them considering that this summer I was stung profusely by a hive of them.ARGHHHHHHHH!  The second card was created using the Cuttlebug emossing folder and some flowers I punched using a flower punch.  The last card as well uses a Cuttlebug embossing folder and the SU scallop punch with slits made in it to resemble flower petals.  Cute idea.  Near the bottom are some more flowers I made using this technique.

Where in Aiken is Fayrai?

Sorry.  It's been awhile since I've chatted with yall.  However I have not stop crafting in my little scrap space.  School is in cession and the kids have their taxi service back up and running(that be me, LOL) I'm busy as ever running here and there and enjoying what I love to do.  You few friends of mine know what that is: PATK.  Ha! I'm giving you a little brain exercise.  Figure it out.  Well without further ado, here are some projects I've been crafting:  This is a post-it note keeper.  Here it is opened.
